AKZA Confirms Talks With BASF On Coatings Business

Akzo Nobel N.V. (ENXTAM:AKZA) confirmed hat it has started discussions with a view to buying BASF Coatings GmbH of BASF SE (DB:BAS). AKZA said in the statement, the strategy of AKZA of driving operational excellence and organic growth includes the possibility to pursue value generating, bolt-on acquisitions. “No further details will be made available at this stage,” it added.
