Heading up company's product team and reporting to chief digital officer Zach Brand, Ana will lead the Guardian's global digital product strategy. Working closely with both editorial and commercial teams, she will build on the Guardian's world-class portfolio of apps, digital products and experiences that connect the Guardian's readers with its journalism, membership and commercial offerings. Ana joins from Sky where she was Head of Product Management for news, with responsibility for creating and managing Sky News' digital product portfolio. Previously, she was the lead for product proposition and consumer experience on all platforms for BBC Store, and Channel 4's Product Manager for its digital channels C4 News, Scrapbook, Film4, E4 and 4Now.

Guardian News & Media announced the appointment of Anna Bateson as VP, Platforms and Partnerships. Anna will be responsible for developing and building key global partnerships including managing the Guardian's existing partnerships with Facebook and Google as well as overseeing all the company's rights and licensing activity. Anna will also be responsible for all commercial aspects of the Guardian's video strategy, working in partnership with editorial, product and sales to deliver an innovative and commercially viable video business plan. Anna will report to chief executive officer David Pemsel and will sit on the Guardian News & Media Executive Committee. Anna joins the Guardian following a long and varied career in media and marketing having spent seven years at Google and YouTube, resulting in a three year stint running global consumer marketing out of their San Francisco HQ. Prior to joining Google Anna led brand and viewer marketing at ITV and before that was VP of Marketing at MTV Networks.

Guardian News & Media announced the appointment of Laura Scarlett as director of data and insight. In this newly created role, Laura will lead on bringing together a number of data teams within the Guardian to create a new data and insight centre of excellence. Along with heading up this new team, she will also be responsible for the adoption and implementation of new data strategies to deliver insights to the business - building a deeper understanding and connection with readers - as well as using data to inform and adapt group strategy. In addition, Laura will also work with the Guardian's commercial team as they build out new propositions. Most recently Laura was interim data director at Time Out where she was developing their membership strategy and designing a CRM infrastructure. Prior to that she led the National Trust's programme to transform supporter loyalty, where she designed and implemented a data-driven customer marketing platform to help the organisation build deeper supporter relationships.
