Telekom Deutschland Reports Earnings Results for the First Quarter of 2017

Telekom Deutschland reported earnings results for the first quarter of 2017. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of EUR 5.397 billion in the first quarter of 2017, growing 0.2% year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA came to EUR 2.07 billion growing 0.9% year-on-year higher than in the prior-year quarter. Operational profit grew by 11.6% year-on-year to EUR 1.1 billion as a slight increase in depreciation, amortization and impairment losses was offset by the higher level of EBITDA. The cash capex grew by 15.1% year-on-year to EUR 1.005 billion as the operator continued to invest in its broadband and fibre roll-out, the IP transformation for voice and in the mobile infrastructure as part of its integrated network strategy.
