Teq Appoints Chrissy Rebert as New Vice President of Instructional Solutions

Teq has named Chrissy Rebert as its new Vice President of Instructional Solutions. In this newly created role, Chrissy will be driving strategic initiatives around the effective integration of technology into instruction and working directly with schools to design successful technology plans. She will report directly to the CEO. Chrissy brings 20 years of education industry experience to Teq.
Teq Improves Online Professional Development with New Content and Features

Teq has announced a major update to its online Professional development (PD) platform. The new Teq Online PDTM will include improved administrative features for aligning PD to school technology initiatives, further integration with popular learning management systems (LMS), a redesigned user interface, and a new lineup of content to be added to the growing library of over 900 PD courses and certifications. The new Teq Online PD will be available to customers during the first week of September. Some of the features being included in the Teq Online PD update include single sign-on with Google and Clever. This will allow teachers to log in once to their district’s teaching and learning platform, and be automatically signed in to Teq Online PD. Customers can also expect a host of new courses and content to be available when the new Teq Online PD launches in September, including an updated Microsoft for Education certification program, and new STEM education topics like Google CS, Makey Makey, 3D printing with Ultimaker.
Teq Promotes Robert Wayne Harris as Chief Learning Officer

Teq announced that as of January 1, 2017, Robert Wayne Harris will be promoted to the role of Chief Learning Officer. Harris joined the company in June of 2014 as the Vice President of Professional Development, and since then has helped expand Teq's PD business, while maintaining a customer approval rating of 94% for professional development services. Harris came to Teq with over 21-years of experience in education, including 5 years teaching, 5 years as a Nassau BOCES administrator, 5 years as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum of the Freeport Public School District, and nearly 6 years as the CEO and Superintendent of the Roosevelt Union Free School District—the position he held just prior to starting his career with Teq.
In his new role, Harris will work with the sales, customer service, and other teams within Teq to improve their understanding of how schools operate, and how to increase Teq's level of service to these customers. His goal is to improve corporate communication and communication with the customers through industry events, customer visits, and new initiatives like the formation of a customer STEM committee. He will also continue to lead the professional development department, and enhance both the onsite and online PD services offered by Teq.
