DOTD Signs Contract with James Construction Group, LLC to Widen Interstate-10

Sec. Shawn D. Wilson, Ph.D., Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), announced that the multi-million dollar, design-build contract to widen Interstate-10 from four to six lanes east of Highland Road to LA 73 has been signed, and the notice to proceed has been issued. James Construction Group, LLC, is the contractor for this project, and construction is scheduled to begin in early 2018. The project will take approximately two-and-a-half years to complete and includes the widening I-10 from four lanes to six lanes west of Highland Road to the LA 73 interchange, as well as the replacement of the LA 42 overpass structures. The $72 million project is being funded by a combination of federal and state funds, including the use of over $40 million in congressionally authorized repurposed earmarks, which are one-time expenditures. The project was capped at $72 million in an effort to optimize future plans for Highland Road. Improvements to Highland Road are not a component of this project as funds are not yet available.
Primoris Services Corporation Announces the Civil Contract Valued at over $21 Million

Primoris Services Corporation announced a new heavy civil award valued at over $21 million. The contract was secured by Primoris Heavy Civil, part of the Civil segment. The project was awarded by Port Freeport in Freeport, Texas. The project is for the construction of a rail spur and track yard that includes 21,000 linear feet of track, associated paving, and drainage improvements. The rail spur will tie into an existing Union Pacific line and service an ongoing expansion at Port Freeport. Primoris Heavy Civil is pursuing additional project opportunities presented by the expansion at Port Freeport. The Work is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2017, and completion is expected in the second quarter of 2018.
Primoris Seeks Selling Texas Unit Of James Construction

Primoris Services Corporation (NasdaqGS:PRIM) announced that its Board of Directors has authorized a plan to offer for sale its Texas Heavy Civil unit, which operates as a division of James Construction Group, LLC. Primoris will continue to operate the division while actively seeking a buyer and has engaged a financial advisor to assist in the sale.
