JSC Sukhoi Civil Aircraft reported earnings results for the year 2017. The company reported that IFRS net loss for 2017 decreased 4.66 times to RUB 6.832 billion from RUB 31.837 billion the year before. Revenue increased by 6.95% to RUB 52.108 billion from RUB 48.724 billion, loss from operations decreased 3.91 times to RUB 2.705 billion from RUB 10.576 billion, loss before tax 6 times to RUB 6.558 billion from RUB 39.341 billion.

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Announces Executive Changes

The boards of directors of United Aircraft Corporation and its subsidiaries Irkut Corporation and Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) approved the restructuring of the holding company and management changes. Sukhoi Civil Aircraft will become the basis of a center for marketing, sales and after sales support of all civil aircraft produced by UAC. Mr. Alexander Rubtsov is appointed president of SCAC to realize this function. Due to consequent concentration of civil aircraft development and manufacturing functions by the UAC corporate center Vladislav Masalov will effectively from September 1 no longer be president of SCAC.

Russia May Merge UAC, Irkut And Sukhoi Civil Aircraft

Russia may merge aircraft producers United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX), Irkut Corporation (MISX:IRKT) and Joint Stock Company Sukhoi Civil Aircraft to act as a corporate center of the corporation and manage civil projects like Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) and MC-21 planes, Kommersant business daily reported on August 30, 2017. A source close to UAC told Kommersant that the corporation did not have enough money to develop individual companies. The merger will become the first step toward a transfer to a single share, and the aviation industry expects UAC to save about 50 billion rubles with the merger.
