She served as a Director of Times Mirror Company since December 1998. Her distinguished career has earned her numerous honors, including the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship in 2003 , the Distinguished Community Service Award from Brandeis University in 1982, the Alfred P. Sloan, Jr. Memorial Award in 1989 and an Honorary Doctorate in Fine Arts from the American Film Institute in 2003. In 2004, she received the Horatio Alger Humanitarian Award. Ms. Lansing holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, with a minor in English and Mathematics from Northwestern University in 1966.
