Trader Vic Index® (TVI®) is an index which follows a rules-based methodology designed to reflect the price trends in a diversified portfolio of notional futures contracts across 24 commodity and financial futures markets. These contracts are grouped into sectors and each sector is represented on either a long position or short position (with the exception of the energy sector, which is represented on either a long position or flat position) depending on recent price trends of that sector. TVI® values are published on Bloomberg on a "live" basis commencing 3 June, 2009 and on a "simulated" basis prior to such date. Simulated performance is subject to hindsight and has certain other inherent limitations. The TVI® was developed by EAM Partners L.P. (EAM) based on the ideas of one of its founders, Victor Sperandeo (Trader Vic). EAM is the sponsor and the administrator of the TVI® and it is calculated by The Royal Bank of Scotland plc.
