Setting up your Bloomberg Trial
As a trial Bloomberg Anywhere user, we want to ensure you have access to your Terminal desktop from wherever you are. Here’s how to get started.
Create your account
- Click the trial registration link in the email sent by your Bloomberg account manager.
- On the webpage that follows, enter your email and click on ‘Send Code’.
- Enter the code and click on ‘Verify’.
- Enter your details: Email address, name, phone number, country, city.
- Create a strong password that you’ll remember.
- Review the Bloomberg Trial License Agreement and Privacy Policy and check the boxes if you agree to the terms.
- Click ‘Register’.
- Your login should now be created. Follow the next steps to register your B-Unit for 2-factor authentication to log in.
Set up your B-Unit
You need a registered B-Unit to log in your Terminal for 2-factor authentication. Here’s how to set that up. Important: You will need 2 devices to complete the 2-factor authentication process.
- On the login creation success page, click on ‘Register your B-Unit app’ or click on this link to set up your B-Unit. You may need to re-verify your credentials to access this page.
- Click on ‘Enroll Using The B-Unit App’.
- On a second device, download the Bloomberg B-Unit app.
- Review the B-Unit Device Privacy Notice and tick the box to agree.
- Click on ‘Continue’. A QR Code will appear.
- On your second device, open the B-Unit app:
- Click on ‘Scan the QR Code’.
- Click on ‘Continue’ to acknowledge notice.
- Review Privacy Notice and click on ‘Accept’.
- Scan the QR Code that appeared on your first device.
- Your B-Unit is now registered, you may proceed to log in.
If you already have the B-Unit app installed, scan the QR code upon registration and select ‘Re-enroll’ when prompted.

Log in to your Terminal
Desktop PC
- Download and install the Bloomberg Terminal software. Once installed, log in with your username, password and B-Unit app.
- You may also click here to log in on the Bloomberg Anywhere webpage.
Mac and Linux
- Click here to log in on the Bloomberg Anywhere webpage.
Existing Bloomberg Terminal installed?
Should you have an existing Terminal installation, prior to logging in, follow the steps below to re-register the Terminal to your new trial access.
- Click and run the Bloomberg Terminal.
- Uninstall the current serial number.
- From the login screen, click on the three stacked lines in the upper right corner.
- Click on “Connection Wizard”: Advanced Connection Options window appears.
- In the Serial Number tab, click the button Uninstall Serial Number. A warning message will appear, click proceed.
- Software will close/relaunch.
- Install new serial number.
- Once the software is back, log in with your username and password and B-Unit app.
Download the Bloomberg Professional Mobile App
Download and install the Bloomberg Professional Mobile App from your device’s app store. You would need your username and password, and a registered B-Unit to log in.
