Beyond the Index – Launch of the Bloomberg Leveraged Loan Indices
Following the launch of the Bloomberg US Leveraged Loan Index in October 2024, we are pleased to introduce the Bloomberg European Leveraged Loan Index and the Bloomberg European Leveraged Loan Index that went live in July 2025. Approximately 150 sub-indices by currency, sector, rating etc are also available, including Rated Only and European Issuer versions. These new indices complement the existing European and global benchmarks and round out of our offering in the three largest markets (USD, EUR, GBP) with roughly 1,700 constituents and $1.8 trillion in market value. Bloomberg also offers a range of other solutions for syndicated loans, including a robust pricing solution (BVAL) covering 8K loans and comprehensive data solution covering 70K loans.

Jasvinder Singh

Jasvinder Singh is a senior product manager for Bloomberg's index business. In his current role, Jas focuses on the development of the Bloomberg Fixed Income Indices, including Bloomberg Municipal Indices. He is also a member of the Bloomberg Indices PROC (Product, Risk and Operations Committee), which provides governance oversight of benchmark indices, strategy indices and fixings administered by Bloomberg. In his prior role, Jas was the Global Head of Bloomberg Index production. Jas attended the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur for Bachelor in Technology, and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta for his MBA.

Sunny is Bloomberg EMEA's Leveraged Finance and Securitization Market Specialist based in London. Over 15 years with Bloomberg in both London and New York, Sunny has worked with Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Banks, Agencies and Asset Owners, bringing Bloomberg's Terminal, Enterprise and Data solutions to the Syndicated Loans, Private Credit, CLOs, RMBS, CMBS and ABS markets.
Brian Lane

Brian Lane is Head of GSAC Product at Bloomberg with 25 years of experience helping fixed income participants with technology. Specializing in corporate bond analytics to help firms use data more effectively, Brian has had a variety of leadership roles. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Brian spent 10+ years working in fixed income startups. He served as founder and CEO of FixtHub, a fixed income and analytics software company. Previous to his work at FixtHub, he ran product management at Codestreet, which was purchased by Tradeweb in 2016. Brian also spent 10+ years in the corporate bond market as a trader.
Nick Gendron

Based in New York, Nick manages the global fixed income index product team at Bloomberg. The main responsibilities of his team include: new product development and research, ETF pipeline and senior relationship management, consulting with clients on development of custom index products, marketing/support of the entire suite of fixed income indices, implementation of robust governance structure and process. Nick has been with the index business since 1992 at Lehman Brothers and subsequently at Barclays since 2008. In his years at Lehman Brothers he managed the U.S. index team from 1998 – 2005 and managed the global index business from 2005 – 2008. He also worked extensively marketing the portfolio management tools PC Product and POINT. Nick began his professional career at JP Morgan working from 1987-1992 in their systems development department. He holds an M.B.A. in finance from New York University and a B.A. in computer science and mathematics from Boston College.
Scott McMunn

Scott McMunn was appointed CEO of the Loan Market Association (LMA) in September 2023. In this role, he works closely with over 800 LMA members across EMEA and MENA, supporting them in navigating the evolving loan markets. His focus is on delivering outstanding service to members by enhancing liquidity, efficiency, transparency, and sustainability in the sector. With nearly 30 years of leadership experience in finance, Scott has held senior roles at institutions such as Abbey National, Deutsche Bank, and the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he served as CEO of RBS Asset Management. More recently, he has been a principal in a private equity firm and a co-founder of a mortgage fintech. Scott also brings extensive governance and board expertise, having served as a non-executive or independent director for organisations including IMMFA, the Bank of England’s SONIA Oversight Committee, and Goalball UK. His experience spans the full spectrum of the lending market, having operated as an issuer, lender, and investor. With a strong track record in capital markets, Scott brings deep expertise across multiple sectors of the loan market.
