Bloomberg Takes Home Five Awards at the Waters Rankings 2024

Bloomberg is pleased to announce it has won five awards at this year’s Waters Rankings:

The annual Waters Rankings celebrate and recognize the initiatives, innovation and achievements of the industry’s technology and data providers over the past twelve months. The winners are determined by WatersTechnology’s readers, many of whom are our customers across both the buy- and sell-side. 

This marks the second alternative data award win this year for Bloomberg, which also took home Best Alternative Data Initiative for ALTD <GO>, its Terminal-based alternative data product that launched in September 2023, in the WatersTechnology Inside Market Data & Inside Reference Data Awards. Bloomberg offers a range of alternative data products which, alongside traditional financial data, address a diverse array of client needs across investment strategies, sectors and use cases. The offering includes Bloomberg Second Measure (BSM) transaction data analytics feeds that provide early insight into the performance of consumer companies. Bloomberg’s Sustainable Finance Data has earned its fifth award in 2024 with this latest win recognizing the firm’s unwavering commitment to providing high quality sustainability data. Bloomberg’s ESG data solutions have been carefully designed to deliver superior interoperability through the use of industry-leading entity data and corporate structure data so firms can look at their ESG data holistically and combined with other investment factors. This is the fourth award win for Bloomberg’s Data Management Services (DMS) in 2024. Bloomberg’s data management solution, Data License Plus (DL+), acquires, aggregates, organizes and links a customer’s Bloomberg Data License (DL) data from multiple delivery channels into a single Unified Data Model. DL+ also provides the same capabilities for Bloomberg’s award winning ESG data as well as ESG data from multiple third-party sources, and links it all together with a customer’s investible universe. This marks the sixth year in a row Bloomberg has won Best Market Data Provider at the Waters Rankings.
