Bloomberg Awarded KRX Chairman & CEO’s Commendation for Promoting Value-up Initiatives to Global Investors

Seoul – Bloomberg today announced it had received the Korea Exchange (KRX) Chairman & CEO’s commendation for its efforts in promoting the Korea Value-Up program to investors around the world.

The Korea Exchange stated, “We awarded Bloomberg the KRX Chairman & CEO’s commendation for promoting KRX’s initiatives, such as the ‘Korea Value-up Index’, to global investors in support of the Korean government’s ‘Corporate Value-up Program’.”

Launched in February 2024, the Korea Value-Up program aims to enhance corporate valuations through improved management practices. This initiative seeks to attract more foreign investment and potentially foster the inclusion of the Korean equity market in major global indices.

Following the announcement of the Value-Up program, Bloomberg launched a dedicated page – {KORE<GO>} – on the Bloomberg Terminal, featuring an information and resources section on the Korean equity markets. In October 2024, two of KRX’s Value-Up indices were added to the Bloomberg Terminal. Additionally, Bloomberg invited KRX executives to its events to promote the Value-Up program among the global investor community.
