Bloomberg and HKCAMA Announce Winners of Offshore China Fund Awards 2024 in 10th Anniversary

Hong Kong – Bloomberg and the China Asset Management Association of Hong Kong (HKCAMA) announced the winners of the annual Offshore China Fund Awards, celebrating the 10th anniversary of this prestigious awards program. A total of 37 awards were presented to outstanding funds and managers who demonstrated exceptional performance and significant contributions to China’s offshore fund industry. The fund performance awards were determined based on data compiled by Bloomberg, utilizing proprietary methodologies for calculation.

In a gathering dedicated to exploring Hong Kong’s opportunities in the offshore China fund market, the event featured insights from government officials, industry regulators and prominent industry participants. These discussions shed new light on the current regulatory environment and future trajectory of the industry, setting the stage for continued growth and collaboration within the dynamic offshore China fund management sector.

Joseph Chan, Acting Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, said in his keynote speech at the award ceremony on March 20, 2025, “The size of the assets under management in Hong Kong is a testament to Hong Kong’s position as the premier asset and wealth management hub in Asia for international investors. To carry on the strong growth in recent years, we will continue to promote the development of asset and wealth management in Hong Kong through various measures. Hong Kong should leverage on its strategic positioning as the “three centres and a hub” and make good use of the advantages of “one country, two systems”, and strengthen industries with competitive edge under the staunch support of our country. I hope the Chinese fund managers can play a bridging role in promoting exchanges and cooperation between the financial markets of Hong Kong and the Mainland, so as to continue to expand Hong Kong’s financial markets, and to help Hong Kong further consolidate and enhance its status as an international financial centre.”

Christina Choi, Executive Director for Investment Products Division of Securities and Futures Commission, said in her keynote speech, “Chinese financial institutions have demonstrated remarkable creativity in developing new products, playing a significant role in driving Hong Kong’s asset management industry forward.”  Ms. Choi also encouraged the industry to participate in HKEX’s integrated fund platform, and actively promote Fintech development and product innovations to enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong’s financial industry.
