Bloomberg is in the process of rolling out a financial modelling tool, using Office 365, that takes deep consensus estimates for segments and products and translates them into a live and interactive 3-statement model. Assumptions can be adjusted to reflect your own views. When you enter your assumption they override the consensus estimates that are pre-populated into the model. Now you can compare the impact of your assumption changes on earnings and see how your view compares to the consensus values. All segments roll up to a consolidated financials tab, where users have the ability to adjust assumptions for consolidated items like tax rate as well as cash flow and balance sheet items. Once you have used the segments tab and the consolidated financials tab, the calculator allows you to look at the relative value of the company using the consensus inputs or if you have input your own assumptions, that scenario.
