He was previously an associate analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence covering telecom equipment and services companies. Matthew holds a bachelors’ degree in business administration from the Stephen M Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and is a CFA Charterholder.

Catherine Lim

Senior Industry Analyst, Asia-Pacific Consumer Discretionary

Catherine Lim has more than 15 years of equity research experience in consumer related businesses in Asia, and spent the last decade in Hong Kong covering various consumer sub-sectors across Greater China. Prior to joining Bloomberg Intelligence, Catherine held several roles at various leading investment banks, including CLSA, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and Citigroup. Catherine earned her Bachelor's degree in Finance from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Nathan Naidu is an equity research analyst for Southeast Asia technology at Bloomberg Intelligence. Nathan has a particularly deep understanding of the region's ride hailing, online food and grocery delivery, financial technology (fintech) and e-commerce sectors and currently covers digital platforms including Sea, Grab Holdings and GoTo Group. Nathan currently holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter.

Masahiro Wakasugi

Senior Industry Analyst, Japan Technology

Masahiro Wakasugi is a senior analyst for Bloomberg Intelligence, specializing in technology hardware industries, including semiconductors, electronic components and consumer electronics. Prior to joining Bloomberg, he covered Japanese technology companies as a research analyst at BNP Paribas and Jefferies in Japan. Before, he worked for AllianceBernstein as a buy-side analyst in the growth equity department, covering Japanese technology companies. He also co-managed a mutual fund, Asian Technology Fund, which received Lipper Fund Awards in 2009. He holds a bachelor’s degree of engineering and a master’s degree of engineering from Waseda University in Japan. He is a chartered member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA).

Charles Shum

Industry Analyst, Asia-Pacific Technology

Charles has more than four years of research experience covering companies across industries including Asian power, gas utilities and infrastructure with a focus in China, Malaysia and Australia market. Charles earned his Master in Actuarial Science from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Cecilia Chan

Cecilia Chan is the credit analyst in Hong Kong covering industrial, internet, gaming and consumer. Before joining Bloomberg Intelligence, Cecilia worked in Fitch Ratings as a credit analyst, covering Chinese oil and gas and utilities sector for 4 years. Cecilia also has more than 6 years of experience as a sell-side research analyst, covering transportation and infrastructure with Nomura, Lehman Brothers and Morgan Stanley. Prior to this, Cecilia spent 3 years as an auditor in KPMG in Hong Kong and New York.

Cecilia graduated from University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration degree. She is also a chartered accountant.

Sharon Chen

Senior Credit Analyst

Sharon Chen is a senior credit analyst in Bloomberg Intelligence covering telecom, utilities and infrastructure. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Sharon was with MetLife for over 12 years. She developed her career as a credit analyst through working across various roles in London and Hong Kong. Most recently, she was a Director in the MetLife Asia Fixed Income team, covering Asia ex-Japan corporate credits across a variety of sectors including TMT, utilities and real estate. Sharon graduated from University of Warwick with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics. Sharon is a chartered accountant and chartered financial analyst.
