Bloomberg Indices Terminal Functionality
Integrate index data into your workflow
Bloomberg Terminal users can gain even more value from the Bloomberg Indices by using the integrated analytics, research and index publications available on the Terminal.
Extract insights from the indices and their underlying data using cohesive functions that help connect your workflow and identify signals.
Over 30,000 Bloomberg Indices are produced and published every day. The indices are integrated into the Terminal so that their data is available to use throughout the Bloomberg ecosystem. Additionally, portfolio analytics and portfolio modeling are complementary functions available through the PORT portfolio management platform.
On the Bloomberg Terminal, each index is assigned a ticker which allows an index to be used throughout Bloomberg functions as well as in Microsoft® Excel. Tickers are used to load indices and access historical returns in various currencies, index analytics, and more. Are these tickers different from the index ticker on other exchanges
