Bloomberg SEF LLC (Bloomberg SEF) operates a SEF that is registered with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
By building upon the core technology of Bloomberg’s existing derivative trading platforms — used by more than 1,000 global institutions — Bloomberg SEF provides participants access to multiple execution styles and liquidity across numerous asset classes including rates, credit and currency derivatives.

Bloomberg SEF LLC does not have the requisite license to offer services for over-the-counter derivative transactions that are required to be executed on eligible electronic trading platforms under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act of Japan (the “FIEA”). Japanese financial institution participants subject to such requirement must execute mandated over-the-counter derivative transactions on electronic trading platforms qualified under the FIEA. Bloomberg ETP operated by Bloomberg Tradebook Japan Limited, a registered Financial Instruments Business Operator under the FIEA, qualifies as such an eligible electronic trading platform.
