Starlink’s $17B purchase of AWS-4/H-block spectrum from EchoStar is poised to reshape the mobile and broadband markets by allowing it to deliver Direct-to-Cell (DTC) service without a carrier partner. Starlink now has more go-to-market options, with recent Elon Musk comments suggesting that it’s initially eyeing a comprehensive offering that bundles home broadband and DTC mobile service under a single account.
