Bloomberg Wins Best Technology Solution at SRP Middle East Awards 2024

Dubai, 22 November 2024: Bloomberg was named ‘Best Technology Solution’ at the 2024 Structured Retail Products (SRP) Middle East Awards. This regional award adds to Bloomberg’s recent SRP accolades, with wins for Best Pricing and Analytics Provider, Best Structured Products Technological Solution, and Best RegTech Provider in the Americas and Europe Awards this year.

The SRP Awards were launched this year for the first time in the region to celebrate outstanding achievements and innovations in the structured products market for the Middle East. The awards recognize industry excellence and aim to spotlight leaders shaping the future of the industry across multiple categories, including sell-side, service providers, distributors and innovation and education.

This win acknowledges Bloomberg’s structured products solution within Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS). The solution is powered by Bloomberg’s Derivatives Library (DLIB), which offers a seamless workflow for structuring, pricing, and managing risks across asset classes. DLIB is supported by Bloomberg’s scripting language technology, which provides clients with data transparency, flexibility to customize payoff structures, and integration with Bloomberg’s market data to enable faster, more efficient trading negotiations.

Chase van der Rhoer, Head of Structured Products & Derivatives Pricing at Bloomberg said: “Winning this award underscores Bloomberg’s efforts to provide integrated, best-in-class tools that enable effective decision-making for our clients across the globe. As we look ahead, we want our clients to continue finding value in our solutions, and we are dedicated to enhancing our structured products offering to meet the evolving needs of our clients and the wider industry.”

Bloomberg’s structured products solution is part of its Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS), a suite of risk management tools designed to assess and manage exposure for firms from front to back office. The extensive Derivatives Library (DLIB) enables users at all levels to structure, price and share trade deals as well as aggregate portfolios and perform scenario analysis and backtesting, all in one place.
