ECB Will Hike at Next `Several Meetings,' Lagarde Says

The European Central Bank will continue to raise borrowing costs at the next "several meetings," President Christine Lagarde told an audience in Frankfurt, Wednesday. “Our primary goal is not to create a recession," she said during a conversation with Maria Demertzis, deputy director at Bruegel. "Our primary objective is price stability and we have to deliver on that. If we were not delivering, it would hurt the economy far more.” (Source: Bloomberg)
