Bernie Sanders has closed the gap with Hillary Clinton in N.Y.’s Democratic presidential primary to 18 ppts among likely voters, after trailing her by 48 ppts in mid-March, according to a poll by Boston-based Emerson College.
- Clinton at 56%, Sanders 38% in new survey; in comparable survey released March 17, results were Clinton 71%, Sanders 23%
- In GOP race, Donald Trump leads Ted Cruz 56%-22%, with John Kasich at 17%
- Trump support down from 64% he had in mid-March survey; Cruz was at 12% in that poll, Kasich 1%
