Demonstrators in Washington, New York Protest Police Shootings

Thousands of demonstrators gathered in New York and Washington on Saturday to protest the killings of unarmed black men by police officers. In Washington, the relatives of those killed—including Tamir Rice’s mother and Eric Garner’s widow—attended a rally organized by Al Sharpton’s National Action Network. In New York City, thousands gathered for what organizers called a “day of anger.”
