Trump Maintains 2-to-1 Lead in New Hampshire, WMUR Poll Shows

Donald Trump leads Republican presidential candidates in New Hampshire with 24 percent of likely GOP primary votes, followed by Jeb Bush with 12 percent, according to WMUR’s Granite State Poll.

  • Scott Walker draws 11%; Chris Christie at 7%; Rand Paul at 7%; John Kasich at 6%; Ted Cruz at 5%; Ben Carson at 5%;Marco Rubio at 3%; rest of candidates at 2% or below
  • Trump is viewed favorably by 51% of those polled and unfavorably by 40%
    • NOTE: In Feb., Trump was viewed favorably by 19% of likely GOP primary voters and unfavorably by 69%
    • Seen as second “most likeable” candidate with 12%; Bush leads with 13%
  • Poll surveyed 309 likely Republican voters from July 22-30; margin of error is +/-5.6 ppts
  • NOTE: Monmouth University Poll released last week showed similar results with Trump at 24% and Bush in 2nd at 12%
