LeBron James is the latest to have fallen into “the China trap,” getting criticized for seeming to take the side of China in its dispute with the NBA and Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey. It is a fraught subject, but there is a way for American celebrities to talk about China (and many other matters) without getting into trouble. In fact, if they follow my four core principles, they may even help make the world a better place.
