U.S. Jobless Claims Fall; Consumer Prices Increase

Aug. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Claims for jobless benefits unexpectedly dropped by 15,000 to 320,000 in the week ended Aug. 10, the fewest since October 2007. Also, the consumer-price index increased 0.2 percent after a 0.5 percent gain in June, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington.
