Boehner Pushes Budget `Plan B' While Talks Continue

Dec. 18 (Bloomberg) - House Speaker John Boehner and other Republican leaders speak at a news conference in Washington about the progress of negotiations with President Barack Obama on an agreement to avoid more than $600 billion in tax increases and spending cuts scheduled to begin in January, the so-called fiscal cliff. Boehner says he is proposing a “plan B” measure that would include tax increases on income of more than $1 million, while continuing to negotiate with the president. (Source: Bloomberg)
