Macron Set to Loan 950-Year-Old Artifact to U.K.
U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May meets French President Emmanuel Macron today with the backdrop of Brexit talks and a diplomatic outreach with a sting in the tail. France is due to lend the 950-year-old Bayeux Tapestry to Britain for the first time. The 230-foot-long work of art depicts the invasion of England by William the Conquerer, complete with King Harold getting an arrow in his eye.
