Saudi Oil Minister Is Optimistic on OPEC Accord
Ministers from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries are meeting in the Austrian capital Wednesday to weigh a deal first floated in September to collectively reduce output. Saudi Arabia Energy Minister Khalid Al-Falih said dividing the output cuts between members remains a “sticking point.” He said “there are good chances” for a deal and he is hoping non-OPEC producers will cut production by 600,000 barrels a day.
