Bristow: Gold Price Sustainable as Randgold Posts Profit
Randgold Resources Ltd. said third-quarter profit jumped 55 percent after prices for the metal rose and its mining costs declined. Net income rose to $65.6 million from $42.3 million a year earlier, the Jersey, Channel Islands-based company said in a statement on Thursday. Gold production slipped 1.4 percent to 301,163 ounces, while its cost per ounce dropped 5.2 percent to $663.
