JPMorgan Chase & Co., Wells Fargo & Co. and Citigroup Inc. kick off U.S. lenders’ third-quarter earnings on Friday. Much of the focus will be on Wells Fargo, the San Francisco-based bank whose chief executive officer stepped down Wednesday amid a scandal in its vast branch network.
