At the first presidential debate at Hofstra University in New York, Republican nominee touted stop-and-frisk as an effective method to thwart urban crime. When moderator Lester Holt pointed out that the procedure had been ruled unconstitutional in New York, Trump replied, “no, you’re wrong.”
