Credit Suisse Group AG unexpectedly returned to profit in the second quarter, with all operating units contributing to its first positive result since Chief Executive Officer Tidjane Thiam set out to overhaul the Swiss bank. BNP Paribas SA, France’s largest bank, posted second-quarter profit that was little changed as a surge in bond trading was offset by a drop in equities and low interest rates hampered consumer banking.
