The Democratic Convention in Philadelphia got off to a rocky start on Monday. Bernie Sanders supporters erupted in boos and chants soon after the convention was called to order. In the evening session, speakers preached unity. First Lady Michelle Obama praised Hillary Clinton as a leader she can trust. Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren thanked Sanders, saying, “Bernie reminds us what Democrats fight for everyday.” The Vermont senator finished off the night by railing against the Trans-Pacific partnership and voicing his support for the presumptive Democratic nominee. “Hillary Clinton must become the next president of the United States,” he said.
