U.K. Equipped For Whatever Happens, Says Osborne

U.K. Chancellor George Osborne says “Britain has the strongest major advanced economy in the world” four days since U.K. voters took the unprecedented step of choosing to take their country out of the European Union. While sticking to previous warnings about the dangers of Brexit, Osborne told reports “the Treasury, the Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority have spent the last few months putting into place robust contingency plans” adding “our economy is about as strong as it could be to confront the challenge our country now faces.”
