00:00When you go to Warsaw and you think about the new Russia and how they respond to Brexit what should we listen for from Mr. Putin and how should we respond. Well from everything I've seen Mr. Putin is very pleased with what happened with Brexit. And this works to his advantage because one of his agenda items has been to cause disruption within the European Union to make sure that it splits apart. So I think the important part is how NATO will continue to function together and also what signals there are for what the EU generally is going to be doing. That's a key question about NATO. There is a school of thought that says we will have trouble with security arrangements in Europe because the Europeans may not be getting along. Another that says because they're not getting along and they don't know what's going to happen they'll fall back and rely more on NATO and this could reinvigorate that organization. What do you think. Well I do think that NATO continues to be the stabilizer in so many ways and the alliance that has held together the longest and I think that they will be looking to see how security arrangements continue can be strengthened. A lot of the issues at this summit has to are going to do with what NATO is going to do in Central and Eastern Europe. But I'm sure that they have to consider the entire security picture. When President Obama went to the United Kingdom he said if you vote to leave you'll move to the back of the line. And then after the vote he said. But we still have our special relationship where does the United Kingdom fall in terms of relationships with the US if it moves outside of the EU and in particular if Scotland or Scotland and Northern Ireland should vote to secede. Well I think there's no question that nobody in the or the leadership of the United States did not think it was great for Brexit to take place. But and I think that people have said that what is of great concern and will continue to be at the top of the heap here is really our continued relationship with the United Kingdom. I mean that has been a key one for decades and decades. And I do think that we'll have to keep watching. I mean they are now calling it Little Britain if in fact Scotland and Northern Ireland leave instead of Great Britain. But I think that what we're going to do is keep a very watchful eye. But remember the special relationship and also the importance of the European Union and our trans-Atlantic really ties that we have the script. I think this is really important. You know Little Britain you travelled from the Czech Republic and in the war you ended up in I believe Notting Hill. And then in various other parts of England we heard today that Margaret Thatcher made modern Britain. Do you agree that Margaret Thatcher shifted the Britain you knew as a child and that we need a new Margaret Thatcher now. No I do think when I was there was during World War Two and Churchill and a time when the UK understood how important it was to the to saving the rest of Europe. And when Franklin Roosevelt understood the importance of our relationship with the United Kingdom I think that I I obviously we all have looked at what the United Kingdom has been like. They are going to go through some very serious shifts and I'm not sure that the British people fully understood all the things that they were voting for .
