Electrolux Looking at Several M&A Opportunities, CEO Says

Electrolux AB, Europe’s biggest maker of home appliances, reported first-quarter profit that beat analysts’ estimates and increased its forecast for growth in the U.S. market. Operating profit increased to 1.27 billion kronor ($157 million), from 516 million in the year-ago period, which was burdened by a loss in the company’s North American business, the company said in a statement. CEO Jonas Samuelson told Francine Lacqua on "The Pulse" that Electrolux has “quite a bit of firepower” for acquisitions and that the company is looking at targets in professional products and emerging markets.
