The Geopolitics Risks Impacting Currencies

The euro fell against most majors, after at least 31 people were killed in explosions in Brussels and Belgium raised the terror-alert level to the highest. The yen appreciated fuelling demand for the currency as a refuge. Escalating geopolitical risks, concern about a global economic slowdown and a volatile financial markets have prompted investors to pile into the yen this year, driving a 7.6 percent rally against the dollar. Rabobank Senior Foreign-Exchange Strategist Jane Foley discusses the outlook for currencies with Bloomberg’s Anna Edwards and Manus Cranny on “Countdown.”
