John Kasich: Women ‘Left Their Kitchens’ to Help Elect Him

2016 Republican presidential candidate got himself into a little hot water at a rally in Virginia on Monday. The Buckeye governor told supporters that an ”army” of people helped him get elected to the state Senate in 1978, including “many women who left their kitchens to go out and go door to door and to put up yard signs for me.” A nursing student in attendance later told him, “I’ll come to support you but I won’t be coming out of the kitchen.”
