Clinton Hits Sanders Hard on Guns at Democratic Debate

In a debate on NBC News, Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders engaged in a heated debate over gun control. Sanders, who pointed out he has a D-minus rating from the National Rifle Association, protested Clinton’s characterization of his record. "I think Secretary Clinton knows that what she says is very disingenuous," the Vermont senator said. The former secretary of state responded by saying that Sanders “has voted with the NRA, with the gun lobby numerous times." She continued, “He voted to let guns go on to Amtrak, guns go into national parks. He voted against doing research to figure out how we can save lives."
