Jim Webb Exits Democratic Primary Race

Former Senator Jim Webb today dropped out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. "I fully accept that my views on many issues are not compatible with the power structure and base of the Democratic Party," he said during a press conference at the National Press Club. Webb left open the possibility of an independent candidacy. “I'm not going away,” he said, “I'm thinking about all my options."
