The Mystery Of The Disappearing Bees-

The Mystery Of The Disappearing Bees

The future of our food resources depends on one small insect - the western honey bee, or Apis mellifera. Indeed, it is the most important agricultural pollinator on our planet, given that one third of our food supply depends directly on pollination from bees. This documentary tells the story of a worldwide ecological disaster that has been waiting to happen for several generations.

  • 00:00And a demented fool who is a former EU commissioner. She's a foreign minister here in Athens. Good morning. Nice to see you . Thank you very much indeed for coming up onto our Windy balcony to talk to us this morning. Our goal is to go to good . Let's talk about winds of change. Let's talk about whether or not we are going to see a Yes victory at this weekend's referendum. And let's talk about whether or not we've got a politician or we are going to get politicians standing up and supporting that when all those voices. Look first of all I believe that we have a three very difficult and crucial days in front of France in order to reach the day of the referendum . But I believe that Yes we'll wait and we're doing win not because of leaders because you're right. Now they're not very strong they're asleep. And it has to do with a previous period and what happened to this country and how much of responsibility the political system has. So it is not a very it is not very well approved by the people but yes it will be a victory of the Greek people because Greek people want a vast majority to be part of Europe and they want the euro. Greece has a very turbulent past. So we don't want again to be part of the isolated about guns. We do not want again to be alone in this by the million people will vote along those lines. Do you think they'll say you know what I want to remain a part of Europe when I make remain part of the eurozone. Or do you think they'll vote on the question that's actually in front of them which is different. Yes. This is a very chaotic thing because the reality is that there is a question and this question is the proposal of the European institutions which is not valid anymore . So Greek people are invited to vote on something which does not exist. So what is the problem now is to persuade people what the question is. And we have to put out the question ourselves. But I believe that day by day it is obvious because there unfortunately you have seen that since Monday the gate of the Hague have opened for the Greek people and the Greek economy and for the Greek society. So I very much believe that people themselves will either stand and decide and yes it will be a big victory. Do you think that it would be helpful if if John Tucker Juncker and Martin Schulz came here and said we want you to be part of our club or do you think people would see it the opposite way round you got experience in Brussels. Do you think they should come here. Do you think they should rather than Greeks going there. They should come here. Can I tell you a truth every time that soy bliss speaks he supports the no camp . So we don't need either younger or he is a little more. So we need the nobody. We have to decide for ourselves. We know very well the situation. Yes. People that know people who have put their argument on the table. There are three days in front of us what will be the most crucial days of the country since the Second World War. Just finally. You talk about the economy . You talk about what's happening here. ISE is pointing them in the tourist season. You couldn't have picked a worst moment . Just very briefly I would like just to give a message. Greek people. And Greece needs the support of other people across the world just for their presence. We asked for their presence . Come to Greece. It's an extremely beautiful country. People are. And the Greek hospitality is here. And we really wait for everybody this summer OK I hope they'll come back. Thank you very much indeed. And I thank you very much indeed. And a deep mental pool. Joining us a former EU commissioner former minister here in governments .

July 2nd, 2015, 7:12 AM GMT+0000

(Bloomberg) -- Anna Diamantopoulou, a former Greek government minister and European commissioner, says the next three days are Greece's "most crucial" since the second world war. "The gates of hell have opened for the Greek people," Diamantopoulou, who advocates a "yes" vote in Sunday's referendum, said in an interview in Athens with Guy Johnson on Bloomberg's "Countdown."
