Welcome Home! Astronauts Return to Earth

Three astronauts returned to earth in the Soyuz spacecraft. Expedition 43 commander Terry Virts of NASA, cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov of the Russian Federal Space Agency, and Italian astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti from European Space Agency landed near Zhezkazgan, Kazakhstan on June 11, 2015. The trio had spent almost seven months on the International Space Station. They were originally due to return in May, but their departure was delayed after the unmanned Progress M-27M resupply vehicle exploded and never made it to the ISS. (Source: Bloomberg)
