April 20 -- In the early 2000s, when Foursquare CEO and co-founder Dennis Crowley developed a text-based app for mobile phones to help him and his friends meet up at bars on New York's Lower East Side, he had no idea that someday that service would reach more than 50 million users every month. With rumors of a purchase by Yahoo swirling, Crowley takes Bloomberg back to The Magician, the bar where the inspiration for Foursquare was born.
