Fed Won't Raise Interest Rates in June: Burgess, Smiles
March 19 -- The Federal Reserve won't raise rates in June, based on comments by Chair Janet Yellen, according to Simon Smiles, chief investment officer for ultra high net worth individuals at UBS Wealth Management, and Threadneedle Asset Management Ltd. CIO Mark Burgess. Burgess predicted a move during the third quarter while Smiles said September is the most likely month. They were speaking in an interview with Mark Barton, Manus Cranny and Caroline Hyde on Bloomberg Television's "Countdown."
