BofA South Korea Head Ahn Said to Leave Firm for Deutsche Bank
Ahn, who was also head of investment banking for Korea at the U.S. bank, will be appointed chief country officer at Deutsche Bank, one of the people said, asking not to be identified before an announcement as soon as today. He left Bank of America yesterday after nine years, the people said.
Ahn worked at Deutsche Bank in Korea once before, serving for two years as head of global corporate finance from 2002 after leaving Salomon Smith Barney. He joined Bank of America’s Merrill Lynch unit in 2004, one of the people said.
Paul Scanlon, a Hong Kong-based spokesman for Bank of America, declined to comment, as did Deutsche Bank spokeswoman Amy Chang. Korea Economic Daily reported the move earlier.
