Swiss Exports Fall in October, Snapping Two Months of Increases
Swiss exports fell in October, snapping two months of advances.
Foreign sales, adjusted for inflation and seasonal swings, declined 16.5 percent from September, when they rose a revised 2.9 percent, the Federal Customs Office in Bern said in an e- mailed statement today. Imports declined 8.2 percent after advancing a revised 4.6 percent in the previous month.
The trade surplus expanded to 2.82 billion Swiss francs from 1.93 billion francs in September.
