Lanna, Mill Con Steel, Tisco Financial: Thailand Equity Preview
Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the previous close, unless stated otherwise. The SET Index jumped 2.3 percent to 944.80.
Lanna Resources Pcl (LANNA) : Thailand’s second-biggest coal producer by market value said it halted an operation at a distribution center in Ayutthaya province because of flooding. The financial impact will be minimal as the company has taken up insurance coverage, it said in a regulatory filing. Lanna advanced 3.2 percent to 22.8 baht.
Mill Con Steel Industries Pcl (MILL) : The steel producer will sell 1.81 billion baht ($58 million) of convertible bonds and as many as 255 million new shares, the company said in a regulatory filing. The proceeds will fund the 1.5 billion baht acquisition of Ocean Profit Co. Ltd., it said. Mill Con was unchanged at 2.02 baht.
Tisco Financial Group Pcl (TISCO) : The financial company said net income in the third quarter climbed 23 percent to 898.9 million baht, or 1.23 baht a share. Tisco increased 4 percent to 32.75 baht.
