Turkey Stocks: Aselsan, Koza Altin, Netas, Rhea, Yapi Kredi
The following stocks were active. Symbols are in parentheses.
Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi & Ticaret AS (ASELS TI), a military contractor, rose 16 kurus, or 2.1 percent, to 7.72 liras, its highest since Aug. 5. Saudi Arabia asked Turkey to enter a tender to produce Atak T-129 attack helicopters for the Saudi air force, Sabah newspaper reported.
Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (KOZAL) , a gold miner, gained 10 kurus, or 0.4 percent, to 23.35 liras. The company said it started test production at a new processing plant at its Kaymaz mine in Eskisehir in central Turkey.
Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (NETAS TI), a telecommunications equipment maker, surged to the highest since July, gaining 11 liras, or 7.6 percent, to 156 liras. Rhea Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (RHEAG TI) gained 8 kurus, or 3.1 percent, to 2.68 liras. Rhea bought another 10 percent stake in OEP Rhea Turkey Tech BV, the company that controls Netas, for $7.5 million, doubling its stake.
Yapi & Kredi Bankasi AS (YKBNK TI), UniCredit SpA’s unit in Turkey, rose 1 kurus, or 0.3 percent, to 4.04 liras. UniCredit Chief Executive Officer Federico Ghizzoni said the Italian bank’s assets in Turkey were “strategic” and it had no plans to sell Yapi Kredi.
