JPMorgan Hires Barclays’s Rajkovic to Lead Technology M&A

JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM), the second- biggest U.S. bank, hired Drago Rajkovic from Barclays Plc (BARC) to lead technology mergers and acquisitions.

Rajkovic will remain based in San Francisco and will report to Chris Ventresca and Jim Woolery, JPMorgan’s co-heads of mergers and acquisitions, according to a memo obtained today by Bloomberg News. Tasha Pelio, a spokeswoman for New York-based JPMorgan, confirmed the contents of the memo.

Rajkovic was most recently head of technology M&A at Barclays Capital, the investment-banking unit of Barclays, where his clients included Nokia OYJ, Cisco Systems Inc., International Business Machines Corp., Hewlett-Packard Co., SAP AG, Symantec Corp., Motorola Solutions Inc. and Qualcomm Inc.

Before Barclays, Rajkovic spent most of his investment- banking career at Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch & Co., according to the memo. He was also a co-founder and chief operating officer of a financial services software start-up, Chase Global Data & Research Inc., and worked as a management consultant with KPMG LLP based in New York, according to the memo.
