Remain seated please, your chance to see Star Wars land is about to begin.
Walt Disney Co. this week unveiled the long-anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge addition to its Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif. The 14-acre land is the largest-ever expansion of the resort that founder Walt Disney used to create the theme park industry in 1955. Disney designers aimed to build a place where Star Wars fans can walk into their own intergalactic adventure, in this case the Black Spire Outpost on the fictional planet of Batuu (heretofore not seen in any of the movies). There’s a simulated ride on the Millennium Falcon spaceship, a chance to build your own droid or lightsaber, or just hang out in the cantina listening to interstellar tunes with some very kooky creatures.
